HV-FILM K30
Chemical Name:Polyvinylpyrrolidone
CAS No.: 9003-39-8
Polyvinyl pyrrolidone, abbreviated as PVP, is a non-ionic polymer compound that is the most distinctive and widely studied fine chemical variety among N-vinyl amide polymers.
It has developed into a series of homopolymers, copolymers, and cross-linked polymers with three major categories: non-ionic, cationic, and anionic, and three specifications:
industrial grade, pharmaceutical grade, and food grade. Its relative molecular weight ranges from thousands to over one million, and it has been widely used due to its excellent and unique properties.
1. Has good film-forming properties .
2. Has high hygroscopicity, excellent adhesion, and good chelating complex formation ability.
3. Acrylate thickeners exhibit excellent compatibility.
4. It can stabilize foam, lotion, dispersion andsuspension, and can be used to prepare hair care products to form transparent, hard and shiny films forming a transparent, hard, and glossy film.
In daily cosmetics, PVP and copolymer have good dispersibility and film-forming property.
PVP can protect colloid in lotion, and can be used in fat and non fat creams, as setting liquid, hair spray and mousse setting agent,
hair conditioner sunscreen, shampoo foam stabilizer, wave setting agent, and hair dye dispersant and affinity agent. Adding PVP to snow cream,
sunscreen, and hair removal agents can enhance wetting and lubrication effects.
