Octocryline is an oil-soluble UV-B anti-sunscreen that is approved for use in sun protection in many countries. 

Because it works with many cosmetic oils, it can be easily incorporated into oil-phase emulsions, making it particularly suitable for hydrophobic 

and waterproof formulations. It is compatible with other oil-soluble sunscreens, can dissolve solid sunscreens, and gives the product a high sunscreen factor
