Phenyl Benzimidazole sulfonic acid is insoluble in water. After conversion to salt, the product is soluble in water and a mixture of water and ethanol. 

When it is converted into salt, it can be used for sunscreen and cosmetic preparations. Phenyl Benzimidazole sulfonic acid has synergistic effect when

used in combination with other filters such as BMDBM and BEMT.
